I used an old fan's cover for the base of this bowl.
I covered it with Papier Mache from both sides.
Then I covered it with small pieces of recycled paper, with natural dried leaves for decoration.
Finally, I covered it with varnish for protection.
Although It is rather large (its diameter is 44 cms) it is relatively light.
This Papier Mache bowl is all about recycling, and it's very useful.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed. Have a creative day! Dorly

עדין מאד ויפה לטעמי. תתחדשי.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE recycled projects!! This is such a unique, different and lovely project. I can think of dozens of uses for it.
ReplyDeleteYour art is so special; thanks for sharing it with us!!
...this takes me back to childhood years, making paper mache' puppet heads, where I'd stick my finger under a handkerchief (for a dress), and poke it inside the head to work the puppet.
ReplyDeleteYour large dish looks most impressive; I too love recycling and haven't tried mache' since 'forever'.
